About the Service
The National Capacity Service was established to provide expert & independent functional capacity assessments accessible across Ireland.
Each assessment is guided by the principles of the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015, which presumes capacity, respects autonomy, and promotes supported decision-making.
Our mission is to safeguard the comfort, dignity, and rights of the most vulnerable, delivering standardised assessments wherever they are required, at home, care home, or in hospital.
We are committed to making assessments accessible, timely, and tailored to each individual, providing a conscientious, supportive, and clinical approach throughout the process
