An Enduring Power of Attorney is a legal arrangement where a person (the donor) appoints one or more individuals (the attorneys) to make decisions on their behalf if they lose capacity in the future.
Under the 2015 Act, an EPA can cover decisions such as:
Personal welfare (e.g., healthcare, housing, daily living)
Property and affairs (e.g., finances, bills, managing assets)
The EPA only comes into effect once the donor loses capacity and the EPA is registered with the Decision Support Service (DSS).
Assessment duration: 1 hour +
